Which Software to learn and master!

Hiye Folks,
As a beginner to this Visual Effects Industry you might think which software is best to learn.Personally. I had a great question about this. Then I started with After Effects which is a great software and ended up in Nuke.
After Effects is a layer based software which is pretty straight forward. The advantage is its supported by lot of third party plugins and its great for Motion Graphics as well as compositing. They good thing is that they have released 64bit version so it works lightning fast.

But if you go for big production Nuke or Fusion is the best. It's a node based high end application which is great for complex compositing for movies. It has special 3d compositing features. It's great for stereoscopic workflow.

The best thing to do is to familiarize with layer based as well as node based compositing application.

Hope this blog might have helped you, thanks for your comments and support.

  4. Visual effects (commonly shortened to Visual F/X or VFX) are the various processes by which imagery is created and/or manipulated outside the context of a live action shoot. Visual effects involve the integration of live-action footage and generated imagery to create environments which look realistic, but would be dangerous, costly, or simply impossible to capture on film. Visual effects using computer generated imagery (so recently become accessible to the Independent filmmaker with the introduction of affordable animation and compositing software.
